No, The buttons on the left are not live. But they could be. And the style is only a somewhat off-the-wall example. But let's talk websites that make money. Web storefronts use a shopping cart metaphor. The shopper browses
through virtual aisles and adds items to a cart. When they are ready
to check out, totals including shipping and sales tax are computed, they
fill in their address and credit card information on a secure page, and
with a mouse click, submit their order. Based on a lot of experience with shopping carts of every kind, we currently use and recommend two systems. Which is right for you depends on:
I also can do a more flexible version to work with your merchant account which can be configured according to your needs as they develop. The appearance and function of this cart is extremely configurable. Many kinds of tricky options you may eventually decide you want are possible--quantity discounts, membership discounts, actual UPS shipping charges, different types of ordering, real time transactions (AuthorizeNet)etc., etc. I like this because when a merchant comes up with an idea I never want to say "You can't do that with this system."
Common to both, programs that run on their secure server handle the nuts and bolts of keeping track of what your customer has put in the cart, and the checkout process from A-Z including all the programming. We can include the shopping cart in any kind of a website you want--there is no limitation on what your website can look like. (I can refer you to lots of examples for ideas!). I add the code for order buttons, selection of options, etc. to the pages wherever you need them. When your customer places an order, you get a nicely formatted email with all the information. I can offer you help in obtaining a merchant account and that $6 hosting I mentioned. Cost of design and adding products to your store can be quoted, and
is based on my rate of $35/hour.
Then you need your merchandise... Pretty inexpensive way to open a store, really.
